Join Evette Geneve for a fun, fresh revival of 30's fabrics and quilt design in an ongoing class/workshop setting. We'll make a sweet 9 patch with 30's inspired fabrics and look in depth at the fabulous fabrics and quilt settings of the period. We'll take a deep dive into period fabrics, techniques, favorite quilt patterns and how the Great Depression shaped quilt making in the 30's and the decades beyond. This ongoing class/workshop includes a weekly show and tell session - we can't wait to see and hear about your quilted treasures from the 1930's! We know you have them, bring your quilts in to share while we work on your Vintage Revival 9 Patch quilt. Evette will have a wealth of resources available during class for your reference including books for inspiration, period and reproduction fabrics to admire and 1930's quilts for you to see!

Have you been looking for a monthly class where you can socialize, work on your own special hand applique project, and get advice and assistance? This is the class for you. Nancy can get you started, keep you going, and answer all of your questions concerning applique and more. In addition to needleturn techniques, Nancy will discuss such topics as 3-D applique, embroidery embellishments, different decision-making approaches, and much more. Prerequisite: an applique class from Nancy or experience with needleturn hand applique

Learn to use your free motion foot on your home sewing machine, Taught by extraordinary free-motion quilter Lory Bishop, you will learn many of the free-motion quilting tips and tricks she uses. We are lucky to have Lory teach for us and if you are wanting to learn free motion you won't want to miss this class!

You too can machine quilt on your home sewing machine! That's right ladies, install your darning foot, drop those feed dogs and see what you and your machine can do! We will cover the basics of starting and stopping quilted lines of stitching, gain confidence in stitch-in-the-ditch quilting with a walking foot and an introduction to free motion quilting. We all love Spa Days! This one is for your sewing machine. If you have a Vintage Singer 221 and you are interested in learning how to service your machine yourself, then this is the class for you! One of the best parts of a Featherweight 221 or 222 other than its portability, is the ease of maintaining it yourself! In this one day class you will learn the proper way to clean, oil and grease your fabulous machine to keep her running for years to come! We look forward to seeing you soon. Inspired by the quilt "Boro" from Blair's book, Wise Craft Quilts. In this workshop, we will make a mini quilt top or pillow top version of her quilt, as we learn how to add character to a base cloth with layers of patches and hand stitches. Boro cloth is a term used to describe the beautiful Japanese art of patching and piecing together old, worn cloth, to make useable cloth.
